Description: IEEE ComSoc SBC NSSCE, in collaboration with IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter as part of AKComSocSC, conducted a session on "Introduction to LabVIEW" by Athul Prasad, Project Engineer, NCN Technologies, on January 16, 2025, at 8:30 PM via Google Meet. The session introduced students to LabVIEW, a graphical programming platform widely used in automation, data acquisition, and hardware interfacing. Athul Prasad explained its core components, including the Front Panel, Block Diagram, and Virtual Instruments (VIs), with a hands-on demonstration where participants created a basic Virtual Instrument. The event highlighted LabVIEW’s real-world applications in automation, robotics, and scientific research, emphasizing its role in data acquisition and process control. WORKSHOP ON MACHINE LEARNING

Description: IEEE ComSoc SBC NSSCE and IEEE EdSoc SBC NSSCE, in collaboration with CNC Lab, hosted a two-day Machine Learning Workshop on October 29 -30, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at CNC Lab. Designed for beginners, the workshop provided an engaging introduction to machine learning concepts with expert insights and hands-on exercises. Dr. Sruthy Manmadhan led the first session, covering supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, with a focus on supervised learning, data collection, model training, and validation. Participants gained practical experience working with sample datasets. On the second day, Dr. Anuraj Mohan explored classifiers, logistic regression, and neural networks, providing a strong foundation in ML model operations and real-world applications. The event concluded with Dr. Vijitha S presenting a token of appreciation to the speakers. The workshop successfully equipped attendees with foundational ML knowledge, preparing them for advanced applications.

Description: On July 30, 2024, IEEE ComSoc SBC NSSCE hosted an online session, "6G Unleashed: The Future of Wireless Communication and Beyond," led by Dr. Ayappasamy, Research Engineer and IEEE Member from Digital University Kerala. The session explored the evolution of wireless communication from 2G to 6G, highlighting 5G limitations and advancements like Visible Light Communication (VLC), Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS), ultra-massive MIMO, semantic communication, and Terahertz (THz) technology. Combining theory with hands-on experiments, the session provided valuable insights into 6G’s potential, and the interactive discussions made it an engaging experience, earning great feedback from attendees.

Ltd., PTIB, and various student chapters, conducted a hands-on Drone Craft Workshop on March 4, 2024. The session covered drone technology, types, components, and real-world applications in agriculture, surveillance, filmmaking, and disaster management. Participants, guided by mentors, assembled and flew drones using provided kits, gaining practical experience in UAV design and operation. Interactive discussions highlighted drones’ role in modern problem-solving, fostering innovation and collaboration.
